The Alpha Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Omega was founded January 5, 2013. Our founding sisters are Brenda Mosser, Syndey Liske, Jordyn Stanley, Megan Murry, Kaity Albert, Emily Horn, and Cacey Jones. Brenda Mosser was elected our first President, Jordyn Stanley was elected Vice President, Sydney Liske was elected Secretary, Megan Murray was elected Treasurer, Emily Horn was elected Judaical Board Chair, and Kaity Albert was elected Candidate Mentor.
In the Spring of 2019, Robin McGrath, Madison Atwell, Caitlin Ring, and Danielle Ring felt led to re-found the Alpha Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Omega, here at Radford University. They felt the chapter was not steadfast in their relationship with the Lord in the way they felt it should be. In the Fall of 2019, the four of them searched for other followers of Christ to go on this journey with them. They asked Finley Miers, Kimberly Vonderlehr, Grace Anne Bass, and Jacqueline Allegro to be their fellow refounding sisters. They started the process of refounding and on February 1, 2020, Alpha Lambda was reactivated as a chapter at Radford University. Finley Miers was elected our first President, Caitlin Ring was elected Vice President, Grace Anne Bass was elected Secretary, Kimberly Vonderlehr elected as Treasurer and Candidate Mentor, and Jacqueline Allegro was elected as Judicial Board Chair.
The Alpha Lambda chapter colors are white, tiffany blue, and silver.

NATIONAL HISTORY
Sigma Alpha Omega® was formed as a Sister Sorority to Chi Alpha Omega Fraternity. Until January 1998, the Beta Chapter of Chi Alpha Omega at North Carolina State University was a co-ed Christian Fraternity. The active brothers (both males and females) voted to form Sigma Alpha Omega® in hopes of benefiting both the fraternity and the sorority. Both groups are committed to living according to the ideals of Christ and His Word, uplifting each other through fellowship and service, and bringing the love of Christ to North Carolina State University.
Founding Sisters:Michelle Bull, Kathryn Meyer, Kimberly Rogers, and Josie Watson.
The first President of Sigma Alpha Omega® was Michelle Bull. The first Pledge Supervisor of Sigma Alpha Omega® was Heather Doyle. There were eight sisters in the founding class at North Carolina State University.
During the spring of 2004 active and alumni members of the Alpha Chapter met to discuss and pray about the future of the sorority. By the end of the summer, Sigma Alpha Omega® Christian Sorority, Inc. had been founded and the sorority became recognized as a national organization. The National Board of Trustees soon followed. The first Board of Trustees consisted of alumni members from the Alpha chapter.
